Our palliative care team consists of specially trained doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, psychiatrists and volunteers and they intervene meaningfully by rendering help in physical, mental, economic, social and spiritual problems of the patients. While the medical team tries to treat the patient physically, it solves only 20% of the patient’s problems, whereas 80% of his problems are taken care of by dedicated volunteers.
People from different walks of life participate voluntarily in this humane movement. Students, workers, officers, teachers, housewives and retired personnel are volunteers. What you need to become a volunteer is a compassionate mind and a willingness to help fellow human beings.
